The course aims to provide theoretical approaches and international comparisons to health policy and finance in order to analyze and evaluate health systems and their financial conditions. It also gives help to compile alternatives in health policies.

Students will get knowledge about basic types of health systems, different forms of allocation of resources, special characteristics of the health market and the international trends of health expenditures. The reform of the Hungarian health system represents a special part of the course.
